To fully appreciate the magnificence of the Roman nobility, the Doria Pamphilj Gallery – inside the Palace of the same name – is a a must-see. The Doria Pamphilj is the biggest. and most majestic Palace in Rome and one of the few to be still private today: the Prince and the Princess in fact from time to time stay in its beautifully built rooms and adorned by the most talented artists of the 1600s and 1700s. Within its walls there are not only incredible works by Bernini, Velasquez, Titian, Brueghel, Caravaggio and Raffaello, but also sublime statues, antique mirrors and large windows.
