Off-the-beaten track destinations are the focus of Swan Hellenic 2025-26 cultural expedition cruises, with many of the program’s destinations never before visited by any other cruise lines.
There are 34 off-the-beaten-track destinations in the forthcoming season to be sailed by SH Diana and SH Vega. Eight of those are new to the world of cruise, according to the operator – among them Hermanus, South Africa; Vaeroy, Norway; Donana National Park, Spain; Elmina, Ghana; Baies des Tortues, Loanga National Park and Mayumba in Gabon; and Ilha Baia dos Tigres in Angola.

Swan Hellenic confirmed these unusual destinations as its 152-guest SH Vega arrived in Brazil for its first exploration of Trancoso, Itacaré, Morro de São Paulo and the Abrolhos Archipelago.
“Thanks to the compact dimensions of the luxury, ice-class expedition ships SH Diana and SH Vega, the list of desirable destinations spans the globe,” the cruise line said.

“That’s in no small part also due to the intrepid determination of Swan Hellenic’s experts to take their guests to the most extraordinary places on earth.”
Other lesser visited highlights include: Kalso in the Faroe Islands; Pantelleria in Italy; the Bijagos Archipelago in Guinea Bissau; the Aldabara Atoll in the Seychelles); Nosy Vao in Madagascar: and the Cajari and Aquiqui rivers and Gurupa ecoregion on the Amazon.
