In her expanded remit as General Manager for Pacific and New ESAP Markets, Club Med’s Michelle Davies will take on new markets in Asia as the company pursues new growth opportunities in the region.
Under a recently announced restructure, Davies, formerly General Manager Pacific, will now oversee Thailand, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Brunei, Myanmar and Cambodia. This expansion comes on the back of a “remarkable resurgence” by the East & South Asia and Pacific region over the last three years.
According to Club Med, this has been fuelled by strong client retention, the acquisition of new customers, and increased capacity in areas like Hokkaido, Japan.
“I am thrilled to take on this expanded role within Club Med as we look towards exciting opportunities in the ESAP region. This growth phase presents a unique chance to strengthen our brand presence and deepen our connection with customers across these emerging markets,” Davies said.
“The Pacific market has shown exceptional momentum, with a 32% year-on-year sales increase in 2024. I look forward to collaborating with our talented team across Asia – particularly with Bruno Courbet – to build on this success and drive accelerated growth across our new ESAP markets.”

Meanwhile, CEO of ESAP Rachael Harding, whose role also evolved under the restructure, explained that Davies is “perfectly positioned” to lead strategic growth in these new markets.
“With her demonstrated success, including 32% year-on-year sales growth in the Pacific market in 2024, Michelle’s appointment is crucial as we accelerate our strategic focus on premium all-inclusive experiences and harness the significant growth opportunities in the region,” she said.
Davies will work closely with Bruno Courbet, Club Med’s Director for Thailand, Indonesia, India and New Markets in bringing this vision to life. He described her vision and success within the company to date as “inspiring”.
“Together, we’re confident we will build on our strong foundation in the New Markets, driving accelerated brand growth, customer acquisition and profitable new resort openings across Thailand and beyond,” he said.
Since 1 May, when the changes took effect, Davis has been working closely with the Bangkok-based team to enhance brand awareness, pursue growth opportunities, developing existing and building new partnerships, devising profitable strategies for new resort openings, and driving both customer acquisition and retention.
