Constellation Journeys has a few final rooms available on its 16-day itinerary through Namibia in March 2026, incorporating nine-nights aboard the high-end Rovos Rail and two nights in luxury lodges off the train.

This one-of-a-kind journey to Africa, top and tailed with stays in Swakopmund and Johannesburg, includes traversing Namibia’s vast Namib Desert and tracking into wildlife-rich Etosha National Park.

Priced at $32,925 per person, excluding international flights, Constellation Journeys is offering travel advisors a very healthy commission when booking their guests.

While the destination is new for Constellation Journeys, Founder Dan Kotzmann and Constellation Journeys’ Product & Operations Manager, Jodie Andrews, have created a tailored program based on their extensive knowledge of Namibia accumulated over time in the industry. Kotzmann was previously at Captains’ Choice for several years before launching Constellation Journeys in 2017.

Earlier this year, Constellation Journeys operated a highly successful 16-day trip of Southern Africa that encompassed Cape Town, and the Rovos Rail to Pretoria, Victoria Falls, the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park.

Namibia however, offers quite a different experience, Kotzmann told LATTE.“Travelling to Namibia is about being immersed in the natural environment. It’s wide-open space, sand dunes and game parks.”

“The country is less frequented by overseas tourists, particularly by first-time African continent travellers who usually explore the perennial favourites of South Africa, Kenya and Tanzania.”

Guests on this tour will also visit Walvis Bay, where they join the train.

Highlights of the trip beyond Etosha National Park include the Sossusvlei National Park, Fish River Canyon (the second biggest Canyon in the world), Leopard Sanctuary and a stay at Mokuti Lodge (Etosha NP).Aside from the arid landscapes and wildlife viewing, the trip would appeal to travellers interested in German history and architecture, and even more so, those who relish slow travel. The tour includes a privately chartered boat on Walvis Bay, and visits to Soweto’s Hector Pieterson Museum and the Apartheid Museum, plus luxury hotel stays at the Strand Hotel in Swakopmund and the spectacular Four Seasons Westcliff in Johannesburg.

Constellation Journeys’ trips operate with a very high ratio of staff to guests, with a team of at least three staff including a doctor travelling to Namibia.

“There’s a very high level of care and to manage logisitcs and also provide companionship for solo travellers.

“For the trade, it is just so easy. We’ve done all the heavy lifting. There are no extras that guests need to put their hands into their wallet for. Drinks are included with meals, tipping and taxes are included. The client pays the price they see in the brochure. They don’t need to bring cash,” Kotzmann noted.

Constellation Journey’s 18-day Namibia aboard Rovos Rail trip departs Sydney on 16 March 2026. The all-inclusive trip is priced at $32,925 per person.
