Just weeks after announcing its first ship, luxury residential cruise operator Crescent Seas has confirmed Oceania Cruises Oceania Insignia will become the second vessel for its fleet in 2027, with a further three ships expected in the next five years.

Insignia will undergo a US$50 million refurbishment before embarking on its inaugural voyage under its new ownership at the end of 2027 for New Year. It will feature 290 residences prices from US$650,000 to US$10,000 with amenities to include private butler services, gourmet dining, on-deck experiences, Starlink internet connection and more.

Crescent Seas debuted in March 2025 as the latest venture from GFO Investments. Its first ship charter was confirmed as Seven Seas Navigator which will move across in December 2026. Navigator will feature 210 residences ranging from US$750,000 to US$8 million.

Russell W. Galbut, Co Founder & Managing Principal of real estate firm Crescent Heights and Founder and Chairman of Crescent Seas, highlighted his development expertise and more than 23-year tenure in the cruise industry as a significant advantage for the NCLH-backed newcomer, giving him a “unique vantage point” to meet current market demands.

“As a developer, I know real estate has always been defined by location, location, location, as we say. With Crescent Seas, we’ve eliminated that limitation,” he said.

“Residents will have a view corridor like never before. Now, your home isn’t bound to a single address – it moves with you, taking you to the world’s most breathtaking destinations.”

The vessels will sail “immersive global journeys”, spending up to five days in each port of call across all seven continents. To ensure seamless operations and exceptional service, each vessel will be staffed by its existing onboard service provider, The Apollo Group, which will manage all onboard hospitality and culinary offerings.

According to Crescent Seas President Marisa Galbut, the new offering provides residents with the benefits of travelling the world without leaving the comfort of their own home.

“With our ownership model, families can share once-in-a-lifetime experiences seamlessly,” she said. “Forget the hassle of planning vacations—embrace the freedom of remote work while exploring the world from your own residence at sea.”

Insignia residence sales will open to the public in late summer 2025 from the sales gallery on the 8th floor of the Gale Miami Hotel & Residences.
