Debuting for its first ski season this winter is the 30-bedroom Adler Mountain Lodge, with ski-in, ski-out ability right on the piste in Alpe di Siusi, part of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site. On top of skiing and boarding the 60km of well-groomed slopes, guests will enjoy plenty of options for snow shoe hiking, winter walking, cross country skiing, sledging, ski touring and more. Ski passes can be bought for Val Gardena/Alpe di Siusi or for the entire Dolomiti Superski area. The season starts on 5 December 2014 and ends on 12 April 2015.

The hotel consists of a central wooden lodge and an arc of 12 small chalets, modelled on old Tyrolean mountain huts. It opened earlier this year on 3 July to great acclaim. This year it will close on 2 November to prepare for the snow season, reopening on 4 December. Winter room rates start at €243 per person per night on a full-board basis, including soft drinks and a selection of Italian fine wines and liquors. Prices also include access to the spa and wellness facilities, together with a full programme of activities such as guided skiing, hiking and yoga at sunset.
