The Lufthansa Group is simplifying its status program and offering its customers an easier and more transparent collection system for achieving and maintaining Frequent Traveller, Senator and HON Circle levels. Loyalty towards Lufthansa Group airlines will be rewarded to a greater extent than ever before. In the future, the airlines will also be appointing their guests Frequent Traveller and Senator for life in recognition of their long-standing loyalty. All changes to the status program will apply to flights from 1 January 2021 and onwards.

Duncan Bureau named Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Distribution
Etihad Aviation Group (EAG) has appointed Duncan Bureau as Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Distribution, who will report directly into the group’s Chief Commercial Officer, Robin Kamark. The role will be instrumental in driving the group’s commercial strategy globally. Bureau, a well-known and respected figure in the aviation industry, joins the airline with more than 25 years’ experience and most recently held the position of President at Air Canada Rouge, the low-cost subsidiary of Air Canada.

Emirates has introduced its first remote check-in terminal outside of an airport to provide seamless connections for cruise passengers in Dubai. Located at Port Rashid, the check-in facility is available to passengers disembarking from a cruise ship who are connecting with an Emirates flight all at the same locational facility.

Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has launched a new lounge experience at Zurich Airport’s Terminal A that features a alpine hut-like ambience. Spread over 500 square metres, the SWISS Alpine Lodge is located at the former site of the First Class Lounge in the terminal and accommodates up to 100 travellers.

ANA is bringing its revamped Boeing 777-300ER to the Tokyo-New York route.
All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest airline, five-star-rated for seven consecutive years, is bringing its revamped Boeing 777-300ER to the Tokyo-New York route. The plane was designed in collaboration with famed architect Kengo Kuma and leading British design firm Acumen. The first flight from Tokyo will be NH110 (Tokyo/Haneda-New York) and the first out of New York will be NH9 (New York-Tokyo/Narita). Both flights will be departing on November 8th in their respective local time zones.

Pact focuses on connecting new destinations with the SWISS route network
