Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts Leads the Luxury Travel Evolution with Announcement of a New Custom Private Jet

Emirates and SpiceJet have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enter into a reciprocal codeshare agreement, which is set to open new routes and destinations for passengers travelling between India and popular destinations across Africa, America, Europe and the Middle East.

French Prime Minister Édouard Philippe and Minister for Ecological Transition, in charge of Transport, Elisabeth Borne, officially opened the new Orly 3 building last week, which has transformed Paris Orly airport into a single terminal: Paris Orly 1-2-3-4. It is the first major step in the “All change at Paris-Orly” transformation project led by Paris Aéroports, which sees the removal of reference to Orly South and Orly West.

Demolition has officially started on Terminal 3 at Los Angeles International Airport, commencing the first phase of construction on the $1.86 billion Delta Sky Way project.​

Finnair is extending its seasonal Guangzhou route to year-round operations and will operate between Helsinki and Guangzhou with two weekly frequencies during winter season 2019/2020. Finnair launched its Guangzhou route as a summer route in 2016, and as of this spring, will serve the route with its new Airbus A350 aircraft, adding both passenger and cargo capacity to the route.

United Airlines has applied to the US Department of Transportation for the authority to begin a new service between New York/Newark Liberty International Airport and Cape Town International Airport. United plans to operate nonstop three-times-weekly flights to Cape Town starting in December 2019.

Virgin Atlantic has unveiled details of its long-awaited Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, which includes an entirely new Upper Class cabin, featuring a brand new suite and social space. On sale this month, the airline’s first A350, named Red Velvet, will take to the skies from late summer 2019.

Qatar Airways has launched a new line of luxurious amenity kits for passengers in its First Class and Business Class cabins. Created by BRIC, the new amenity kits will be distributed to passengers in First and Business Class on long-haul and ultra-long-haul flights.

Hawaiian Airlines has inaugurated five weekly services on its new domestic route between Honolulu and Boston Logan International Airport. The route complements Hawaiian Airlines’ New York JFK route on the US east-coast which launched in 2012. 

Air Italy has unveiled its fully new on-board Business Class product and service this week to coincide with the celebration of its inaugural Milan–Los Angeles flights.

Emirates has resumed its operations to Zagreb for summer, serving the route until 26 October 2019. Its partner airline, flydubai, will then begin to operate during the winter season. The strategic partnership between both airlines ensures capacity is deployed to best serve customer demand.
