New agreement provides greater access to the Hawaiian Islands
Hawaiian Airlines has broadened its codeshare agreement with Virgin Australia that offers travellers in more than a dozen Australian and New Zealand cities a wider and more convenient network of flights to Hawai’i. Over coming weeks, travellers will also enjoy one-stop check-in and baggage transfers to their final destination and loyalty rewards benefits.

Branson’s airline bound for Latin America
Virgin Atlantic has confirmed it will commence flights between London Heathrow and São Paulo, Brazil in 2020. Flying daily between London Heathrow and São Paulo Guarulhos International Airport, the 11 hr 55 min flight is Virgin Atlantic’s first foray into the South American continent.

Qsuite coming to Adelaide route too
Qatar Airways has announced a range of upgrades to the customer experience on the Sydney, Canberra and Adelaide route. The Doha-based airline will introduce the new state-of-the-art Airbus A350-1000 once-daily on its Canberra-Sydney-Doha route, effective 27 October 2019. The afternoon A350-1000 flight (from Canberra/Sydney) will compliment Qatar Airways’ existing A380 evening service between Sydney and Doha.

German carrier turns to 787-9 and A350-900 for long-haul flights
Lufthansa Group’s Supervisory Board has approved the purchase of a total of 40 state-of-the-art aircraft for the group’s airlines. The 20 Boeing 787-9 and 20 additional Airbus A350-900 planes will primarily be replacing four-engine aircraft. The new planes will be delivered between late 2022 and 2027.
