Hurtigruten has welcomed back Andrew Eddy to its Asia Pacific operation, recruiting him as Sales Director Asia Pacific (APAC). Eddy join’s Hurtigruten’s leadership team and has been tasked with spearheading the operator’s sales and partnerships.

Viking has appointed its Chief Financial Officer, Leah Talactac, as President of the listed company, effective immediately. Talactac will continue to serve as CFO while assuming her new responsibilities, reporting directly to Torstein Hagen and to the Board of Directors. Hagen remains Chairman and CEO.

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has named Charles “Bud” Darr as its new President and CEO. Darr will succeed Kelly Craighead effective 3 February 2025. Craighead revealed her intention to resign from the organisation in September. Darr returns to CLIA having previously led maritime technical and regulatory affairsat the global cruise association

The reason for the sudden departure late last month of Seabourn’s former President, Natalya Leahy has been explained, with the cruise chief revealed as the incoming CEO of Lindblad Expeditions, effective 1 January 2025. Also joining Lindblad Expeditions senior ranks is Rick Goldberg, appointed CFO effective 31 December 2024.

Orient Express has confirmed the appointment of Yannick Alléno, one of the most innovative and prestigious chefs on the international culinary scene, as Executive Chef of the legendary Orient Express Train. Alléno will also lead the culinary experience aboard the world’s largest sailing yacht, Orient Express Corinthian.
