Hurtigruten Norway kicks off one of Europe’s biggest environmental upgrades
Hurtigruten Norway has initiated one of Europe’s largest environmental ship upgrades. With modern technology, the rebuilt ships will cut CO2 emissions by 25% and NOx emissions by as much as 80%. “Revolutionary” new 728-passenger ship to launch in summer of 2023
Silversea Cruises has revealed the name of its next new ship as Silver Nova. Developed as part of the ultra-luxury cruise line’s innovative new-build project encompassing twin ships, known until now as “Project Evolution”, Silver Nova commenced construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany quietly last month. Executives from Silversea and Meyer Werft held a traditional steel cutting ceremony on 18 November.
