Aurora Expeditions’ second purpose-built small ship, Sylvia Earle, has departed on her inaugural voyage. The sister ship to Greg Mortimer departed for Antarctica on 10 December 2022 from Ushuaia, Argentina.

Join Greg Mortimer aboard Greg Mortimer, departing May 2023
Aurora Expeditions has announced a Founder’s Voyage Across the Arctic Circle in May 2023 will be led by the Australian expedition line’s Greg Mortimer (OAM). The 15-day adventure aboard his namesake, Greg Mortimer, will sail from Scotland to Norway, visiting the remote Orkney and Shetland Islands, the Norwegian coastline and the frozen wilderness of Bear Island and Svalbard.

Adventure company sets inaugural voyage for next conservation-focused vessel
Aurora Expeditions has confirmed its new – and second – purpose-built expedition ship, Sylvia Earle, will make its debut voyage on the Subantarctic Safari from 4-20 November 2022. The ship will be christened by its namesake, renowned marine biologist, oceanographer and explorer Dr. Sylvia Earle, prior to making its way to the wildlife havens of South Georgia and the Falkland Islands.
