Nordic countries continue to lead the charge in the move to global sustainable tourism, with Sweden the number one ranked nation based on its engagement and progress in the space, according to a new report.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is expanding its hotel collection in Europe, revealing plans for the luxury brand to debut in Vienna in late 2023.

Etihad Airways will launch new year-round flights to Austria’s capital Vienna using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The service will initially operate with four weekly flights between 22 May and 30 June.

Virtuoso has confirmed Vienna as the destination for the 2020 Virtuoso Symposium, taking place from 17-21 March 2020. Vienna holds close ties with the luxury travel network as it was the same location where API Travel Consultants rebranded as Virtuoso in 2000. Next year will be the 20th anniversary under the brand name.
