Hilton is upping its game in the luxury brand stakes in China, signing a new four hotel deal with Shimao Group Holdings to expand its Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts brands.

Conrad Hotels & Resorts is introducing its global brand to Morocco’s Atlantic Coast following the signing of an agreement to open Conrad Rabat Arzana.

Conrad Hotels & Resorts has officially opened its first resort property in Mexico; the 324-room Conrad Punta de Mita, located in Riviera Nayarit.

Hilton Corporation will debut the Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand in Spain in early 2022. The 194-room Conrad Costa del Sol resort will herald a new level of contemporary luxury to the Andalusian coast, a popular destination with holidaymakers from all over Europe and beyond, with visitors drawn to its sandy coastline, glamorous harbours and charming remote villages.

Conrad Maldives Rangali Islands has redesigned its unique mix of villas, with the resort set to introduce five new room types, including the Two-Bedroom Deluxe Beach Villa, Grand Water Villa with Pool, Grand Water Villa, Two-Bedroom Grand Water Villa with Pool and Two-Bedroom Grand Water Villa.

Hilton’s Conrad Hotels & Resorts has opened the 54-floor, 562-suite Conrad New York Midtown, adding to its extensive portfolio of luxury hotels around the world. This is the brand’s second New York City property, located at 151 West 54th St, the former site of The London NYC.

Hilton says it expects to open seven additional hotels across its luxury portfolio in 2019. Coupled with four new openings that have already debuted, this year is on track to be the busiest year in Hilton’s 100-year history for high-end launches across Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts.

Hilton executives have flagged Sydney and Melbourne as potential Australian destinations for the group’s top-shelf Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand; Auckland in New Zealand is another possible city in the region. However, Hilton’s ultra-luxury Waldorf Astoria is still quite some way from popping up in this region, says Alan Watts, Hilton’s President for Asia Pacific.

Hilton has opened the Conrad Hangzhou, a 50-storey, 324-room state-of-the-art hotel that provides easy access to the city’s downtown recreational and cultural attractions. With Li’An restaurant sitting on the 50th floor, Conrad Hangzhou features the tallest restaurant in Hangzhou and provides unparalleled views over the fast-developing high-tech city. As part of the Raffles City Hangzhou complex, the hotel is set to serve business and leisure travellers with a best-in-class experience in a world of style.
