Organisers of the ITB India luxury trade show, originally scheduled to be held on 15-17 April at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, have announced the event’s postponement for 12 months.

The Virtuoso luxury travel network has suspended this year’s Virtuoso Symposium, which was scheduled to be held in Vienna, Austria later this month. The cancellation of the 2020 get-together of Virtuoso’s owner/managers and partners comes after ITB Berlin, due to begin on Wednesday 4 March, was also postponed. 

One of the world’s largest annual travel shows, ITB Berlin, has been shelved for 2020 within days of its official starting date due to the “rapid spread” of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Luxury travel operator Abercrombie & Kent has come off its strongest ever calendar year in 2019 in the Australian market, with a solid start to 2020 up until early January, when bushfires and the coronavirus unsurprisingly created some “headwinds” for the local business.

Reed Travel Exhibitions has confirmed that its Singapore based luxury travel event, ILTM Asia Pacific, due to take place in May this year, will now be postponed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and will take place from 31 May to 03 June 2021.
