Crystal has scheduled a revised inaugural deployment of Crystal Endeavor which will commence in Iceland on 17 July 2021. The factory-fresh luxury expedition yacht will operate a series of five 10-night voyages circumnavigating Iceland, operating roundtrip from Reykjavik. Reservations will open on 13 April 2021.

The first sea trials for Crystal Expedition Cruises’ long-awaited expedition ship, Crystal Endeavor, have commenced in the Nordics.

Crystal has cancelled the first eight voyages of its new expedition yacht, Crystal Endeavor, due to production delays at the MV Werften shipyard. The initial itineraries to Japan and Alaska will instead be replaced by new voyages commencing in mid-July.

Crystal Cruises has confirmed its maiden purpose-built expedition ship, Crystal Endeavor, is on track for debut in the northern summer of 2021.

Genting Hong Kong (GHK) has provided a loan of over AU$300 million to Germany’s MV Werften shipyard to enable the completion of Crystal’s maiden purpose-built luxury expedition ship, Crystal Endeavor.

Genting Hong Kong Limited, the owner of Crystal Cruises, has confirmed further delays for the delivery of the luxury cruise line’s maiden expedition ship, now expected for around mid-2021.

Crystal Cruises has released its complete roster of global voyages aboard Crystal Symphony for the 2023 season which includes a range of sailings exploring regions outside of peak season. The program features cruises of six to 15 nights duration.

Crystal has released an enticing new Easy Book program that includes reduced deposits and waived administrative fees for all new bookings through 30 June 2020. The new program applies to all Crystal experiences – Crystal Cruises, Crystal River Cruises, Crystal Yacht Cruises and Crystal Expedition Cruises – in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

Crystal has confirmed a three-month delay for the delivery of its maiden expedition ship due to the temporary closure of the MV Werften shipyard. As foreshadowed by LATTE last month, the pause in operation at the German shipyard due to the coronavirus was expected to result in the delayed handover of the luxury ship.

German ship building company MV Werften has immediately suspended production at its Wismar, Rostock and Stralsund shipyards due to the coronavirus pandemic. Among the ships currently under construction and/or being fitted- out by MV Werften is Crystal’s maiden expedition ship, Crystal Endeavor.

In 2020, Crystal will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a year-long celebration including commemorative gifts and special events aboard its ships as well as the gift of savings.
