Cunard is set to offer a series of UK voyages on Queen Elizabeth, providing a unique and luxurious staycation opportunity for British guests. The decision capitalises on the UK Government’s decision to allow UK cruising to resume from May 2021.

Cunard has confirmed a further extension to is operations pause, from November 2020 until 25 March 2021 for its ship Queen Elizabeth; until 18 April 2021 for Queen Mary 2 and until 16 May 2021 for Queen Victoria.

Cunard is further extending its cruise pause due to the continued impact of COVID-19. Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria sailings that were due to depart up to and including 1 November 2020 have been cancelled. Voyages on Queen Elizabeth up to and including 23 November 2020 have also been ditched.

Carnival Australia President Sture Myrmell has jumped to the defence of cruise ships in Australia after an “intense focus” on the sector as the country continues to “grapple with the impact of COVID-19 and fights to slow the spread of illness”.

Cunard has summonsed its luxury ships, Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria, to return to Southampton, London from their current deployments in the Indian Ocean and the Caribbean respectively.

Cunard has voluntarily halted new North American departures for a month-long period, effective Saturday, 14 March through Saturday, 11 April, 2020 as part of the CLIA mandate in response to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).

Cunard has announced a 60-day extension of Queen Elizabeth’s current Australian cruise season. The luxury ship will sail local waters until 9 May 2020, strengthening domestic and regional tourism.

Luxury cruise line Cunard has unveiled its Winter 2022 and Alaska 2021 collection of voyages, which will include calls at 93 ports in 42 countries with 14 overnight stays.

Luxury cruise line Cunard has partnered with award-winning microbrewery, Dark Revolution, to create a trio of craft beers now available exclusively on three of Cunard’s cruise ships – Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria. The craft collection is the latest addition to the cruise lines custom beverage selection onboard and includes a ‘Black’ Stout, a ‘Red’ IPA, and a ‘Gold’ Pilsner.

Actor, author and activist George Takei, best known for his role as Hikaru Sulu, helmsman of the USS Enterprise in the television series Star Trek, will headline the Christmas voyage on Cunard’s flagship liner Queen Mary 2 as part of the luxury cruise line’s Insights program, from 22 December, 2019 – to 3 January 2020.

Cunard commenced construction of its 249th ship, holding a steel cutting ceremony at Fincantieri’s Castellammare di Stabia shipyard in Italy last Friday.

Cunard has launched its June 2021 to January 2022 cruise schedule which will see its three Queens visit 123 destinations across 39 countries.
