Airbus and Emirates reached an agreement on outstanding A380 deliveries. The airline will receive 14 more A380s from 2019 until the end of 2021, taking its total A380 order book to 123 units.

Emirates’ latest Boeing 777-300ER aircraft fitted with the ‘Game Changer’ First Class product will operate between Dubai and Vienna on a daily basis from 1 December 2018. Austria will be one of the first few countries in the world to be served by Emirates’ Boeing 777 aircraft with fully enclosed private suites inspired by Mercedes-Benz.

Emirates is preparing to introduce the world’s first integrated “biometric path” at Dubai International Airport (DXB) that will offer customers a “smooth and truly seamless airport journey”. The implementation of biometric technology is the latest phase of the multimillion dollar project which kicked off three years ago. 

Emirates will deploy its flagship Airbus A380 on the Dubai–St. Petersburg city-pairing on a temporary basis during late October, replacing the Boeing 777 currently operating on the route.

Emirates has completed the refurbishment of its lounge at John F. Kennedy International’s Terminal 4 in New York. The 1,200-square-metre lounge is the Dubai-based carrier’s largest Emirates Lounge in the U.S.

With just one easy-to-book ticket, travellers will be able to fly on Emirates and reach some of Italy’s most picturesque cities and towns using high speed, modern and comfortable Trenitalia trains that leave from Emirates’ four Italian gateways: Bologna, Milan, Rome and Venice. Through the partnership, passengers will be able to board Trenitalia trains directly without the need to exchange their boarding pass for a separate ticket. As with their flight, they will be assigned a seat number and car number which will appear on their e-ticket.

Emirates Skywards, the loyalty program of Emirates airline, has partnered with the ENTERTAINER to launch its own Emirates Skywards GO app for members. The app is a mobile travel companion that offers members access to over 4,400 two-for-one offers at some of the best restaurants and spas in over 20 cities.

Emirates has introduced 3D seat models on their Australian homepage, becoming the first airline to introduce web virtual reality (VR) technology on its digital platform.
