EXPLORA I handed over in Monfalcone, Italy by shipbuilder Fincantieri
Explora Journeys took delivery of EXPLORA I, the first luxury ship to join the new ultra-luxury brand’s fleet from the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. The delivery of EXPLORA I took place where the construction of the 63,900 gross tonne vessel began on 10 June 2021.

Four hyrodgen-powered ships to join Viking fleet from 2026 to 2028
Viking has shored up four new ocean ships for its fleet with the Fincantieri shipyard. The new vessels will be ‘next generation’ ships and designed with hydrogen fuel cells that Fincantieri says will “set a new standard for the industry”.

Fincantieri delivers Norwegian Prima in Marghera (Venice)
Norwegian Cruise Line accepted delivery of its newest ship, Norwegian Prima, on 29 July 2022 in Marghera, Venice at the Fincantieri shipyard.This handover milestone marks the arrival of the first ship in NCL’s Prima Class which consists of six new ships delivered through 2027. It was also the maiden ship Fincantieri has constructed for NCL as part of a US$4 billion deal. NCL’s most recent ships, until now, have been constructed by Meyer Werft.
