Aurora Expeditions has unveiled its new season for Arctic & Beyond 2025 voyages, including four new expeditions and seven Ultimate Adventure voyages that explore further and longer on the company purpose-built small expedition ships, Greg Mortimer and Sylvia Earle.

In the lead up to its Antarctica 2023/24 season this month, Aurora Expeditions has unveiled new developments to the dining options aboard its vessels in line with the operator’s Sustainability in Action Program.

Aurora Expeditions is making “strong inroads” in the US expedition cruise market as part of the Australian-owned and operated adventure company’s business globalisation, says Michael Heath, CEO.

The parent company of Aurora Expeditions, Pacific Travel Partners Inc, has put its money where its mouth is in an effort to acquire Vantage Travel Services, bidding US$1.5 million for the business and handing over a 10% cheque as a counteroffer to the bid made by United Travel.

Australian expedition cruise operator Aurora Expeditions has altered its name to AE Expeditions in the United Kingdom.

This month sees the release of Aurora Expeditions’ 2024 Arctic & Beyond program, covering destinations such as Greenland, Svalbard, Iceland, Norway and the Northwest Passage, accessed aboard the award-winning Australian adventure company’s two ships, Greg Mortimer and the freshly delivered, Sylvia Earle.

Aurora Expeditions has announced a Founder’s Voyage Across the Arctic Circle in May 2023 will be led by the Australian expedition line’s Greg Mortimer (OAM). The 15-day adventure aboard his namesake, Greg Mortimer, will sail from Scotland to Norway, visiting the remote Orkney and Shetland Islands, the Norwegian coastline and the frozen wilderness of Bear Island and Svalbard.

Aurora Expeditions has named its upcoming program of Special Guests who will be joining a variety of voyages for the remainder of 2022 and into 2023.

Aurora Expeditions has unveiled its new 2023/24 Antarctica season giving adventurous travellers even more options for exploring the white continent, as well as a new selection of 2023 Arctic and British Isles voyages aboard the Sylvia Earle.

Aurora Expeditions has confirmed its new – and second – purpose-built expedition ship, Sylvia Earle, will make its debut voyage on the Subantarctic Safari from 4-20 November 2022. The ship will be christened by its namesake, renowned marine biologist, oceanographer and explorer Dr. Sylvia Earle, prior to making its way to the wildlife havens of South Georgia and the Falkland Islands.
