Hilton Worldwide will raise the flag for its luxury hotel brand Conrad Hotels & Resorts in Las Vegas for the first time as part of a new multibillion-dollar, three-hotel integrated resort.

LXR Hotels & Resorts, Hilton’s collection of luxury hotels, has announced Zemi Beach House as the brand’s first hotel to open in the Americas. The 76-key beachfront hotel continues to be owned, operated and managed by the Goldstein Family of New York.

Hilton has announced Shaizeen Contractor as Senior Commercial Director, Australasia. In the newly created role, Shaizeen will be responsible for leading commercial performance, driving and delivering commercial targets and growing market share in Australasia. She will support new openings and develop strong relationships with key commercial partners to further strengthen Hilton’s presence in the region.

Hilton’s Conrad Hotels & Resorts has opened the 54-floor, 562-suite Conrad New York Midtown, adding to its extensive portfolio of luxury hotels around the world. This is the brand’s second New York City property, located at 151 West 54th St, the former site of The London NYC.

Hilton has extended its footprint in the Maldives with the opening of SAii Lagoon Maldives, Curio Collection by Hilton. Positioned within the idyllic Emboodhoo Lagoon, SAii Lagoon Maldives forms part of CROSSROADS Maldives, the country’s first and only integrated resort.

Hilton says it expects to open seven additional hotels across its luxury portfolio in 2019. Coupled with four new openings that have already debuted, this year is on track to be the busiest year in Hilton’s 100-year history for high-end launches across Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts and Conrad Hotels & Resorts.

Hilton has formally announced the signing of Hilton Melbourne Square, a 600-room property slated to open in the Victorian capital’s Southbank precinct in early 2023.

Set on a pristine beach, Hilton Tangier Al Houara Resort & Spa has opened its doors, marking Hilton’s third property in Morocco. With its upscale accommodations, beachfront location and extensive range of leisure facilities, the resort is an oasis for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Hilton executives have flagged Sydney and Melbourne as potential Australian destinations for the group’s top-shelf Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand; Auckland in New Zealand is another possible city in the region. However, Hilton’s ultra-luxury Waldorf Astoria is still quite some way from popping up in this region, says Alan Watts, Hilton’s President for Asia Pacific.

The Biltmore, Mayfair is set to open as LXR Hotels & Resorts’ first UK property, following an agreement between Hilton and Millennium & Copthorne Hotels. The luxury hotel, situated in a prime location in the heart of Mayfair on Grosvenor Square, London, will open for business in Spring 2019, marking the new brand’s European debut.
