Kempinski Hotels has confirmed a May 2020 opening for the new Sindhorn Kempinski Hotel Bangkok, nestled in the ‘green corridor’ of Bangkok as an extension of the largest green space in the city – Lumphini Park.

The all-new Gran Hotel Bristol is now open. Located in the heart of Havana, it’s just steps away from the National Capitol Building (El Capitolio) and within walkable distance of the hotspots and hidden gems of the Cuban capital.

Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok has revealed its latest addition to its luxury accommodation offering, seven animal-themed family suites designed for young families.

The Apurva Kempinski Bali has launched 43 private villas, nestled in tropical gardens on the clifftops of Nusa Dua. Kempinski Hotels has announced a new luxury project in Makkah, Saudi Arabia with the partnering company, Umm Al Qura for Development and Construction Company (UAQ). The property will entail a luxury hotel and will be the flagship edifice on King Abdul Aziz Road, an envisaged urban lifestyle hub. The addition of Kempinski Hotel Makkah to the Kempinski portfolio is part of the company’s continued expansion into the Middle East markets, where the brand enjoys already a strong reputation.

Kempinski Hotels will extend its presence in Cuba to three properties, with a new location to open in the UNESCO world heritage site of Old Town Havana by the end of 2019. The luxury hotel group has signed another management contract with Grupo de Turismo Gaviota SA, the owning company of the Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski La Habana and the soon-to-open Cayo Guillermo Resort Kempinski.

Kempinski Hotels has tapped Martin R. Smura to be the hotelier’s Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 July 2019. 

Kempinski Hotels is set to open the first five-star luxury resort complex in Cuba. The 245-room and -suite Cayo Guillermo Resort Kempinski is currently under construction and is scheduled to open during 2019.

Kempinski Hotels will open its second property in Indonesia, The Apurva Kempinski Bali, on 1 February 2019. The brand new property will debut in the upmarket Nusa Dua area of Bali, with 475 well-appointed guestrooms, suites and discreet villas (60% of which have plunge pools) in a quiet beachfront setting. Six restaurants, bars and lounges. An immersive ocean-facing spa and fitness centre offers treatments inspired by traditional Balinese healing practices, to promote balance and wellbeing.
