MSC Group has named industry veteran Michael Ungerer as CEO of the cruise company’s new luxury brand.

MSC Cruises is introducing a cabin adorned in 700,000 Swarovski crystals aboard MSC Bellissima, the cruise company’s newest flagship vessel. Partnering again with Swarovski, guests will be dazzled by the one-of-a-kind Crystal Cabin that will be available from mid-November 2019.

MSC Grandiosa will host the world’s first fine art experience on board a cruise ship. The immersive art and dining experience featuring “Degas Danse Dessin” aims to bring guests closer to the world of fine art with a spellbinding exhibition of original Impressionist art.

Yesterday marked 100 days until the launch of MSC Cruises’ first Meraviglia-Plus ship, MSC Grandiosa, in Hamburg, Germany on 9 November, with TV star Michelle Hunziker hosting the glamorous events.

MSC Cruises has confirmed MSC Armonia will make her maiden call at the cruise company’s Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in the Caribbean in early December, not long after the new destination opens. MSC Armonia will visit the exclusive natural island destination every week, as well as other ports across the Western Caribbean.

MSC Cruises is expanding its partnership with two Michelin-starred Spanish chef Ramón Freixa with the opening of a further two HOLA! Tapas Bar restaurants on board MSC Meraviglia from May and MSC Grandiosa when the new ship launches later this year.
