Four new award Categories have been announced for the 2019 NTIAs. Under a partnership with the Council of Australian Tour Operators, The CATO Awards will go to the Consultant of the Year in the fields of Group Touring, Adventure, Ski and Independent Travel.

The Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) has announced a new partnership with The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age Traveller which will see the publications become a significant media component of the National Travel Industry Awards program and further expand consumer connections with travel agents.

The Australian travel industry came together in Sydney on Saturday 22 July 2018 for the trade’s annual ‘night of nights’ at the International Convention Centre Sydney.

The People’s Choice Campaign was delivered through a dedicated consumer program in which consumers were asked to vote for their favourite ATAS retail travel agency.
