Passengers aboard the inaugural sailing on Tauck’s new riverboat, ms Andorinha, were the surprise guests of honour for the luxury vessel’s christening ceremony in the riverside village of Barca d’Alv.

Scenic has recommenced its luxury river cruising program on the Duoro River in Portugal, with Scenic Azure embarking from Porto on 30 July 2021.

The new service provides Australians travellers with a direct flight to the popular city in the north of the country.

Emirates will offer four weekly services between Portugal’s second largest city, Porto, and Dubai from 2 July 2019. Porto will become Emirates’ second destination in Portugal after its capital, Lisbon, which the airline currently serves with two flights a day.

Tauck has revealed the name of its new Douro River riverboat will be MS Andorinha. The vessel will operate three new itineraries in Portugal in 2020. ms Andorinha will have a capacity of just 84 guests, carrying fewer guests than any other vessel currently operated by a major line on the Douro.
