Quark Expeditions has officially taken ownership of its new polar vessel, Ultramarine. The official handover of the technologically-advanced ship took place in Split, Croatia.

Croatian shipyard Brodosplit says it is on track for delivery of Quark Expeditions’ newest ice-class ship, Ultramarine, during the first half of February 2021.

Quark Expeditions has unveiled a comprehensive Arctic 2022 season that will include its new polar ship, Ultramarine, that provides helicopter-supported adventure options, a unique Greenland Adventure itinerary, plus special itineraries that include the much-anticipated return of the popular Under the Northern Lights expedition, and a voyage dedicated to photography in Spitsbergen.

Quark Expeditions has revealed a new expedition program in Greenland capitalising on Ultramarine’s two twin-engine helicopters, dual heli-decks and a first-ever partnership with local communities in South Greenland that will offer off-ship adventure options (included in the trip package), exclusive to the polar expedition specialist.

Quark Expeditions is offering accelerated commission payments for travel advisors as part of its Book Now, Earn Now promotion on new bookings made up until the end of August.

Quark Expeditions has unveiled a new Polar Learning Channel (PLC) designed for both travel advisors and consumers to expand their knowledge on the polar regions.

Quark Expeditions has this week launched a flash sale, offering up to 50% off its upcoming 2019/20 season. As there are limited cabins, this special offer is subject to availability.

Quark Expeditions has unveiled further onboard elements and external renderings of the new livery for its upcoming ship, Ultramarine, featuring the company’s distinctive yellow ‘Q’ logo spanning the full height of the ship. The design reflects Quark’s “mission to go beyond the predictable”, the polar specialist said.
