Alitalia is relaunching flights to San Francisco after a 19-year hiatus. Services to the City by the Bay will start on 1 June 2020 from Alitalia’s homeport of Rome Fiumicino.

Boutique travel specialist, Italy Culture Trails, has released a series of seven-night packages to showcase some of Italy’s most popular tourist hot spots including Umbria, Tuscany and the Lakes district. Designed for small groups of up to 12 guests, the packages are centred around stays at hand-picked luxury villas in each region and include daily sightseeing and activities, fine dining, private wine tastings and more.

Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese will reopen on 1 July, unveiling extensive renovations by contemporary architect and interior designer, Jean-Philippe Nuel. 

Cunard has introduced voyage and tour packages on flagship ocean liner Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria, available in Rome, Hong Kong, Dubai and Cape Town.

As part of its £4.5 billion investment to benefit its customers, British Airways is set to revamp lounges across its network, starting with the opening of a new lounge in Rome’s Fiumicino Airport.
