Seabourn Encore has resumed operation this week, with the 600-guest ultra-luxury ship now sailing the waters of the Mediterranean and Canary Islands after a 23-month COVID pause.

Seabourn has stepped in to offer assistance to guests impacted by the temporary pause of Crystal’s global ocean, river and expedition operations. Crystal’s suspension currently impacts ocean and expedition voyages through until April 2022.

Seabourn has trimmed the elapsed time between voyage check-in and suite entry with the introduction of a streamlined embarkation process. Designed to have guests in their suites quicker than ever before, Seabourn is now utilising electronic and mobile boarding passes, as well as assigned embarkation times.

Housekeeping tends to be one of those topics often shied away from by hospitality companies and cruise lines. It’s the not-so-glamourous, yet essential tasks carried out every day, normally behind the scenes. Housekeeping may be viewed as mundane and not overly interesting, let alone “exciting”. That is unless you’re speaking with Gerald Mosslinger, Seabourn’s Senior Vice President of Guest Operations. Then housekeeping – especially since Seabourn restarted operation back in July – offers an increased level of guest interaction.

A series of innovations, refinements and enhancements now offered by Seabourn have been wowing guests since the ultra-luxury cruise line restarted operations in Greece in early July this year.

Seabourn has updated the planned resumption date of the return of Seabourn Sojourn by six months. The ultra-luxury was flagged to return to service on 11 January 2022 following a voluntary pause due to the pandemic. Now Seabourn Sojourn will relaunch on 6 June 2022.

Seabourn will now include WiFi aboard its ships as part of the ultra-luxury onboard inclusive experience. Seabourn now includes complimentary WiFi with unlimited minutes for all bookings so guests can access the internet throughout their voyage from anywhere on the ship.

Seabourn has unveiled further 2023 deployment plans for its North American operation, spanning Alaska, the Pacific Coast and Canada/New England.

Seabourn has unveiled a brand new 65-day voyage across the Pacific, from Vancouver to Sydney, in late 2022.

Seabourn has partnered with the Government of Barbados to develop a series of sailings for the northern summer operating round-trip from Bridgetown, Barbados beginning on 18 July, 2021.

Seabourn has unveiled its 2022/2023 cruise schedule, with bookings now open for new sailings throughout the Caribbean, Panama Canal, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the Indian Ocean.

Seabourn has responded to the Canadian Government’s ban on big ships cruising in its waters by cancelling its entire 2021 season of voyages to Alaska and British Columbia.
