Seabourn is bringing forward the launch of its second purpose-built expedition vessel, Seabourn Pursuit by two months, releasing a fresh tranche of new pre-inaugural sailings to the Mediterranean, transAtlantic and Caribbean.

Seabourn has only scratched the surface of what can potentially be unlocked through luxury expedition cruising, says Steve Smotrys, Vice President of Global Sales for the ultra-luxury cruise line.

Seabourn has launched its second annual “The Suite Life Event,” featuring incredible savings on Seabourn sailings through 2024, including Seabourn Pursuit, the second of the line’s two new purpose-built expedition vessels scheduled to launch in 2023.

Seabourn gave travel partners and advisors in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney the chance to hear from the ultra-luxury cruise line’s Head of Expeditions, Robin West, who was in Australia last week on a whirlwind visit.

Seabourn Pursuit, the second of two luxury, purpose-built expedition ships to be operated by Seabourn, has been confirmed to sail the Kimberley coastline in mid-2024.

Seabourn Venture, the first of two purpose-built expedition ships delivered to Seabourn and currently sailing off the West coast of Greenland, offers 132 contemporary-style oceanfront suites. Having previously taken a closer look at the public spaces, and restaurants, lounges and bars, this week, LATTE turns our focus to the accommodation varieties aboard the ship, including an all-new suite type – the Panorama Veranda Suite.

Seabourn has celebrated an important milestone in the construction process for Seabourn Pursuit, with the movement of the ship’s hull to the T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, Italy, for final outfitting.

Seabourn has stepped in to offer assistance to guests impacted by the temporary pause of Crystal’s global ocean, river and expedition operations. Crystal’s suspension currently impacts ocean and expedition voyages through until April 2022.

Seabourn has unveiled the 2023 deployment schedule for its two new purpose-built expedition ships, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit. The program includes Seabourn’s first-ever voyages to the Northeast and Northwest Passages in the Arctic.
