Seabourn’s new ultra-luxury expedition ship, Seabourn Venture, will be out of action for most of April and May 2023 as the vessel heads into dry dock for repairs to its stabilisers. The decision will see five sailings scrapped, including an expedition to the Amazon, a transatlantic positioning cruise to Europe and two Northern Europe itineraries, falling between 7-30 April 2023.

Seabourn has only scratched the surface of what can potentially be unlocked through luxury expedition cruising, says Steve Smotrys, Vice President of Global Sales for the ultra-luxury cruise line.

Seabourn has launched its second annual “The Suite Life Event,” featuring incredible savings on Seabourn sailings through 2024, including Seabourn Pursuit, the second of the line’s two new purpose-built expedition vessels scheduled to launch in 2023.

Seabourn achieved a milestone this week with Seabourn Venture making its first-ever visit to Antarctica. The line’s first purpose-built expedition ship marked the inaugural voyage to the “Great White Continent” with the official naming ceremony on Sunday 20 November 2022, when the ship came to a stop in the fast ice of the Weddell Sea, part of the Southern Ocean (view the video below).

Seabourn gave travel partners and advisors in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney the chance to hear from the ultra-luxury cruise line’s Head of Expeditions, Robin West, who was in Australia last week on a whirlwind visit.

Seabourn Pursuit, the second of two luxury, purpose-built expedition ships to be operated by Seabourn, has been confirmed to sail the Kimberley coastline in mid-2024.
