Luxury expedition cruise specialist, Mark Spillane, has returned to the division, revealing this week that he has joined Seabourn as its US-based Director – Expedition Sales.

Seabourn accepted delivery of its first expedition ship, Seabourn Venture, during a handover maritime ceremony at the T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, Italy.

Seabourn has forfeited the upcoming 15 July 2022 inaugural sailing of its first of two purpose-built expedition ships, Seabourn Venture, with the luxury vessel not 100% ready to receive guests.

Seabourn has celebrated an important milestone in the construction process for Seabourn Pursuit, with the movement of the ship’s hull to the T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, Italy, for final outfitting.

Seabourn has stepped in to offer assistance to guests impacted by the temporary pause of Crystal’s global ocean, river and expedition operations. Crystal’s suspension currently impacts ocean and expedition voyages through until April 2022.

Seabourn has unveiled the 2023 deployment schedule for its two new purpose-built expedition ships, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit. The program includes Seabourn’s first-ever voyages to the Northeast and Northwest Passages in the Arctic.

Seabourn has revealed the name for its second new ultra-luxury expedition ship as Seabourn Pursuit.

Seabourn has released new “Extraordinary Expedition” itineraries in Antarctica and the Amazon for Seabourn Venture, operating between November 2022 and April 2023.

Australia’s North West coastline is destined to be a region explored by Seabourn’s new ultra-luxury expedition ships. The Kimberley is a natural fit for Seabourn’s all-veranda suite ships, with capacity limited to a relatively low 264 passengers, and the vessels equipped with an industry leading number of Zodiacs for explorations.
