When Seabourn launches its first of two purpose-built expedition ships it will not only be the smallest vessel in the ultra-luxury cruise line’s fleet, it will be the smallest in the Carnival Corporation stable of cruise brands.

Expedition cruising has been the flavour of the cruise industry for the past few years. It’s a segment of the market that has multiple players, some of which are well entrenched, some are new, and others are returning.

The hull of Seabourn’s first purpose-built expedition ship has arrived at the T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, Italy for the vessel’s final fit-out.

Seabourn has unveiled its new expedition itineraries in the northern summer and autumn 2022 for Seabourn Venture, the line’s first ultra-luxury purpose-built expedition ship. Between early May and late October 2022, Seabourn Venture will visit destinations throughout the Arctic, the Caribbean, and Central and South America – offering travellers unique opportunities to experience expedition travel and exhilarating adventure in a way that is unique to Seabourn.

Details of Seabourn’s new spa and wellness experience to be offered aboard the ultra-luxury line’s new expedition ships have been revealed for the first time.

Seabourn has officially commenced construction of its second ultra-luxury purpose-built expedition ship. The first sheets of steel for the yet-to-be-named vessel were cut in San Giorgio di Nogare in Italy last week.
