Luxury cruise leaders have outlined their visions for the future and priorities for their Australian and New Zealand markets in a four-day virtual event series hosted this week by Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) Australasia.

Seabourn has unveiled details of its ‘2022 World Cruise: Extraordinary Horizons’ – a 145-day voyage on Seabourn Sojourn, visiting 72 destinations and ports in 28 countries on five continents.

Seabourn has scrapped additional voyages for three cruise ships in its fleet as a part of its pause in global ship operations. An operational pause for Seabourn Ovation, Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Quest has been extended through to 3 January, 6 January and 10 May 2021, respectively.

Seabourn has launched an e-brochure highlighting itineraries for the northern autumn 2021 and winter/spring 2022 seasons. The line’s ultra-luxury ships will visit fascinating destinations in Australia & New Zealand, Southeast Asia, India, Africa, Arabia, the Panama Canal, and the Caribbean.

Seabourn is aiming to attract a greater chunk of the MICE market to ultra-luxury cruising by bulking up the amount of information online dedicated to the niche segment.

Seabourn has cancelled upcoming voyages on three of its five cruise ships as a part of the latest halt in operations, fuelled by the coronavirus pandemic.

Calling all CLIA Members. Mark the diary. The ultra-luxury cruise sector’s big-wigs will be online next month taking part in Cruise Line International Association’s (CLIA’s) Luxury Cruise Showcase, from 14 to 17 September.

Until 30 September 2020, Seabourn is offering clients who pay their bookings in full an additional 10% saving off the base cruise fare, thereby enabling travel advisors to earn their commission sooner. The promotion applies to select voyages through winter/spring 2022.

Seabourn President, Richard Meadows, will retire from the top job at the end of this month after nine years in the role. Meadows has been with Carnival Corporation for 35 years.
