Seabourn has extended its official partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in a unique alliance to help protect World Heritage. The five-year extension will continue to foster wider support and understanding in the travel industry and among travellers for UNESCO’s mission of safeguarding and promoting the world’s unique cultural and natural heritage recognised for its outstanding universal value.

Seabourn will introduce four new Seabourn Journeys in 2020 within Europe. Available as pre- and post- cruise trip extensions on select voyages, Seabourn Journeys provide in-depth, land-based cruise extensions that go beyond single-day excursions available from the ship.

Seabourn will recommence cruising to Turkey, with Seabourn Ovation returning to Istanbul, Turkey, in October 2020.

Ultra-luxury cruise operator Seabourn is adding a new private chartered jet service for exclusive transportation to and from ports of call and for mid-voyage overland excursions around the world.

Meadows tells us about the maiden season itineraries, expeditions team and on board submarines and informs us as to how sales have been tracking for the inaugural cruises on board Seabourn Venture in 2021.

Seabourn has unveiled a rendering of the first of eight dining options that will be available aboard its ultra-luxury expedition fleet. The Restaurant is the fine dining venue that will be offered aboard Seabourn Journey, debuting in June 2021, and its yet-to-be-named sister-ship that will launch from May 2022.

Seabourn has released official images of the upgraded Seabourn Odyssey following a multi-million-dollar renovation in May to refresh the look and feel of the vessel. The renovation, completed in Genoa, Italy, has seen enhancements including the Seabourn Square, with new high-end furniture, lighting and carpets.

Seabourn has unveiled details of the submarines that will be offered aboard its expedition fleet from 2021. Seabourn Venture and her yet-to-be-named sister-ship will each carry a U-Boat Worx Cruise Sub 7 submersible, an underwater battery-powered craft that will take up to six guests to a depth of up to 300 metres below sea-level. They have been “designed specifically for Seabourn,” the cruise company said.

Seabourn has offered a sneak-peek at The Veranda, Panorama Veranda and Penthouse suite categories aboard its upcoming expedition ships, due to debut in June 2021 and May 2022. 

Seabourn officials held an event in Sydney last Friday where they revealed the first renderings of the Wintergarden, Signature and Owners Suites of the cruise line’s ultra-luxury expedition ships.
