Silversea Cruises’ 10th ship, Silver Dawn, was officially christened at a gala onboard the vessel while docked in Lisbon, Portugal on 31 March 2022.

Attendees boarded Silversea’s newest vessel, Silver Dawn, for an exclusive pre-inaugural cruise: a five-day roundtrip sailing from Lisbon with two days of exploration in Porto.

Silversea Cruises took delivery of the luxury line’s 10th ship Silver Dawn at the Fincantieri shipyard in Ancona, Italy. Executives from Silversea Cruises and Fincantieri participated at an intimate ceremony.

Virtuoso is bolstering its focus on the cruise market, announcing the recruitment of highly-regarded luxury cruise specialist Melissa Araya, and revealing that next year’s annual Symposium will be held aboard Silversea Cruises’ new ship, Silver Dawn, in March 2022.

Silversea Cruises has released a sneak peek of its new 2023/2024 program, packed with over 280 new itineraries exploring more than 900 destinations in 125 countries around the world.

Silversea Cruises is set to introduce a new spa program called Otium, initially aboard Silver Dawn, from November 2021.

Silversea Cruises’ new ship Silver Dawn touched water for the first time during her float-out at the Fincantieri shipyard in Ancona, Italy late last week.

Silversea Cruises’ second newbuild ship for 2020, Silver Moon, successfully completed a series of sea trials in the Adriatic throughout August and is now going through its final fit-out ahead of an expected delivery in late October.

Silversea has waived the single supplement on nine voyages departing in 2020 and 2021. In addition, Silversea is offering solo travellers the opportunity to travel deeper into many other destinations around the world with a wide range of fares with single supplements of just 10% and 25%.

To be named Silver Dawn, the signing of the new $507-million vessel comes weeks after Silversea Cruises finalised a contract with Fincantieri for the construction of Silver Moon, another sister ship to Silver Muse, which is due to be delivered in 2020.
