Silversea Cruises made its return to global operations late last week with the maiden voyage of its new flagship, Silver Moon, from Athens (Piraeus). The launch of Silver Moon also represents the unveiling of S.A.L.T., the cruise line’s new culinary program.

Silversea Cruises has wound back the deposit requirement on a select range of voyages when booking by 31 August 2021. Guests will now only be required to provide a 15% deposit per suite to secure a booking, down from the traditional 25% of the total cruise fare.

Silversea Cruises will recommence sailings to Alaska and Iceland from next month. The destinations join Silversea’s already announced restart in Greece from 18 June aboard Silver Moon and the Galapagos Islands from 19 June on the brand-new Silver Origin.

Silversea Cruises has extended its support to travel partners, offering a AU$270 bonus commission on all bookings made through until 30 April, 2021, and expanding the scope of the offer to more voyages eligible for this commission.

Silversea Cruises’ new ship Silver Dawn touched water for the first time during her float-out at the Fincantieri shipyard in Ancona, Italy late last week.

Silversea Cruises has opened pre-sale bookings to its Venetian Society members on 315 new voyages for 2022/2023, including 31 voyages in Australia and New Zealand aboard four ultra-luxury vessels.

Five Rolls Royce vehicles lined the shores of White Bay Cruise terminal in Sydney Harbour on 5 December 2019 to welcome the return of Silversea’s ultra-luxurious flagship vessel Silver Muse to the region for a second, extended season. Symbolic of the five Silversea vessels which share the Rolls Royce name, the cars were also present in celebration of the upcoming 64th year of the Rolls-Royce Owners’ Club of Australia (RROCA) in 2020.

This week Silversea’s flagship vessel, Silver Muse departed Singapore for Sydney, returning to Australia and New Zealand for her longest season to date. Currently in Bali, Indonesia, Silver Muse will arrive in Sydney on 5 December 2019. The luxurious ship will stay in the Australia-Pacific region until the end of March, transporting guests in complete luxury on numerous sailings between Auckland and Sydney, including maiden calls in Hobart, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands.
