Silversea Cruises has delayed its inaugural Expedition World Cruise by 12 months as part of revised operating schedule confirmed this week. A revised collection of 157 new expedition voyages, operating from January 2021 through to July 2022, have been released.

Until 31 March 2020, any retail agent who makes three new bookings on select Silversea Expedition voyages departing between 1 April 2020 and 31 December 2021 will be eligible to sail free on one of nine Silversea Expedition 2020 voyages. Agents will have the opportunity to discover North and South America, Australia, the New Zealand Sub-Antarctic and South Africa on board Silver Wind, Silver Explorer or Silver Cloud. A bonus 5% commission is also available for each new booking made on the select range of voyages.

Silversea Cruises has revealed plans for a second extensive refurbishment of Silver Wind, completing the major refurbishment project started in December 2018. The second dry dock period, which is scheduled for summer 2020, will give the ship ice-class classification and improved cruising versatility, as well as a number of improvements to the vessel’s interior. Silversea’s 2018 Venetian Society voyage concluded in Lisbon on 18 October, following a varied itinerary which incorporated a number of unique, bespoke events.
