Silversea Cruises is commemorating the inaugural arrival of flagship Silver Muse to Australian waters with a campaign to support Australia’s drought-stricken farmers and their families via Rural Aid. The cruise line’s partnership with Rural Aid aims to raise both awareness and funds for the drought.

Ultra-luxury cruise line Silversea Cruises celebrated the inaugural arrival of its flagship, Silver Muse, into Sydney Harbour on Sunday 6 January 2019. The arrival of Silver Muse marks the first time in a decade that Silversea has brought one of its new vessels to Australia. Muse launched for the first time in April 2017. The ship was greeted by the Australian Girls’ Choir, singing at the pier at White Bay Cruise Passenger Terminal.

Silversea Cruises has revealed plans for a second extensive refurbishment of Silver Wind, completing the major refurbishment project started in December 2018. The second dry dock period, which is scheduled for summer 2020, will give the ship ice-class classification and improved cruising versatility, as well as a number of improvements to the vessel’s interior. As a result, Silver Wind will unlock a broader range of deep travel experiences for guests in ultimate comfort, cruising both classic and expedition itineraries.

Ultra-luxury cruise company, Silversea, has unveils a collection of 34 shore excursion for its new 16-voyage Cuba collection for 2019 and 2020. Taking guests closer to the authentic natural beauty and amazing cultural and historical treasures of the Caribbean island nation, the onshore experiences in Havana, Santiago de Cuba and Cienfuegos will provide immersion into the local way of life.

Ahead of the Antarctica season, 12 members of Silversea’s Expedition Team spent four days at pre-season training in the Chilean Andes. Between 29 October and 3 November, the team of expedition specialists undertook a number of educational activities, building on their existing skillsets and enabling them to enrich the offering for Silversea’s guests. In its 10th season of deep travel in Antarctica, the cruise line is investing heavily in the training and development of its knowledgeable Expedition Team.

Silversea Cruises will raise the curtain on six entirely new theatrical performances over the coming months. Ultra-luxury cruise line Silversea Cruises has gone forward with plans to expand its fleet, inking a Memorandum of Understanding with shipbuilder Meyer Werft to build two ‘Evolution Class’ ships and signing a contract with Shipyard De Hoop to construct a new 100-guest expedition vessel to be called Silver Origin.
