Silversea Cruises has revealed a new 72-day Grand Voyage to Central and South America aboard the luxury cruise line’s latest and most environmentaly sustainable ship, Silver Nova.

Silversea Cruises has revealed the name of its next new ship as Silver Nova. Developed as part of the ultra-luxury cruise line’s innovative new-build project encompassing twin ships, known until now as “Project Evolution”, Silver Nova commenced construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany quietly last month. Executives from Silversea and Meyer Werft held a traditional steel cutting ceremony on 18 November.

Silversea Cruises’ Silver Explorer has relaunched expedition cruising to Antarctica, setting sail from her new departure port of Puerto Williams in Chile on 10 November. Silver Cloud joined her fleetmate in Antarctica a few days later, sailing from Punta Arenas in Chile, on 14 November.
