African ecotourism and conservation brand, Singita, is honing in on a number of new locations in Southern Africa to expand its ultra-luxury footprint and plug gaps for the brand’s ‘super safari’ offering.

I dream, like many, of returning to Sabi Sand Singita Ebony Lodge, situated on 18,000 hectares bordered by the Sabi and Sand rivers in northeastern South Africa. I remember from last time that it’s 12 thatched villas are an Olympian feat of vertical support poles growing out of precipitously steep undergrowth, ingeniously evolving, as if organically, around massive living trees. Singita has appointed Inge Kotze as General Manager: Conservation. Kotze replaces Neil Midlane, former GM: Conservation Projects and Mark Witney, Singita’s former CEO: Conservation in the role. She will be overseeing the all-woman Conservation team, which is responsible for Singita’s Biodiversity and Sustainability initiatives, as well as its Community Partnership Programs.
