Just two weeks after stepping down from his position as CEO of Six Senses, Neil Jacobs has reemerged as Senior Strategic Advisor for Capella Hotel Group, supporting the hospitality brand’s global growth and strategic development.

Set to open in 2028, Six Senses Bangkok will be set on the site of the historic Narai Hotel in Silom, representing an important milestone for the Bangkok-headquartered IHG brand.

Six Senses CEO Neil Jacobs has confirmed he will step down as the leader of the hospitality brand after more than 13 years in order to pursue a “new adventure”.

High-end travellers remain the focus for Bhutan’s Department of Tourism, with additional luxury hotel brands expected to enter the destination in the coming years.

Six Senses has unveiled plans to expand its presence in Portugal to a new community being developed in Comporta, located just outside Lisbon. Slated to open in 2028, Six Senses Comporta will comprise a 70-hotel key and branded residences as part of the Pinheirinho estate, a 400-hectare estate that was previously privately owned and accessed by invitation only. Much of the site is a protected nature reserve of pinewood forest. Under development plans, the site is being brought to life in accordance with strict aesthetic and sustainability guidelines.

Five Six Senses properties around the globe have embraced the ultra-luxury hospitality brand’s Female Wellness program, spread over 3-, 5- or 7-days, with more properties to follow.

Six Senses has achieved the highest level of certification by Control Union, in recognition of the hotel brand’s commitment to sustainability across its properties.
