10 new rooms and suites added in Douro Valley resort
Six Senses Douro Valley has revealed its new Vineyard Wing to greatly enhance the wine estate with seven suites, three additional guest rooms and a meeting and event space. The 19th-century manor house and surrounds, located in Lamego in northern Portugal, is set on a UNESCO World Heritage site within the world’s oldest demarcated wine region.

Former Whiteleys department store to be converted to luxury hotel and spa

The hotel, wellness club and spa mark the brand’s entry into the United Kingdom and will open with 110 guest rooms and suites, starting from 33 square-metres and celebrating the building’s origins, while making space for modern living, along with 14 branded residences.

Fourth lodge in Bhutan features eight suites
Six Senses Bhutan is opening its fourth lodge, Six Senses Gangtey, following the successful launch of three lodges in Paro, Thimphu and Punakha earlier this year. The October opening has been carefully planned to coincide with the arrival of the black-necked cranes from Tibet, a good omen for the lodge, which is aptly named the ‘Traditional Bird Watching Bridge’.
