La Réserve has expanded its collection of boutique luxury hotels with the recent opening of La Réserve Eden au Lac Zurich, Switzerland’s newest five-star hotel. A sister property to La Réserve’s existing hotels in Paris, Ramatuelle and Geneva, the former Eden au Lac hotel originally opened in 1909, but has now been completely revitalised.

Mandarin Oriental will take over management of the fabled Hotel Palace Luzern. First opened in 1906 and positioned in the heart of the city on the shores of Lake Lucerne, the property is currently undergoing an extensive renovation. It will reopen as Mandarin Oriental Palace, Luzern at the end of 2020.

While summer and winter remain the most popular seasons to visit Switzerland, autumn also gains its fair share of interest. A season far too short, Switzerland Tourism says this is, however, the most ideal time for a sensory indulgence.

Mandarin Oriental, Geneva has launched its newest signature suite for guests seeking the ultimate in sumptuous comfort and spectacular views. Providing 325 square metres of contemporary elegance, the Royal Penthouse is one of the largest suites in Geneva. It features a 175-square-metre terrace with panoramic vistas of snow-capped mountains, the River Rhone and the city’s Old Town.

La Réserve – Genève Hotel and Spa on the shores of Lake Geneva, and offering views of the Alps and Mont Blanc, has released a special offer at La Villa du Lac for stays of a minimum two nights, available during August and September.

SWISS International Air Lines is adding Osaka, Japan and Washington DC, USA to its long-haul route network from March 2020. The new deployments come as the airline prepares to take delivery of two new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, resulting in a shift in its operation and freeing up existing Airbus A330/340 for new options.
