Plans for the re-entry of Marriott International’s ultra-luxury hotel brand, The Ritz-Carlton, to Sydney have been revived with the NSW Government understood to have approved a modified development proposal.

Marriott International’s luxury brands including The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, The Luxury Collection, EDITION and W Hotels, has unveiled a collection of one-of-a-kind adventures curated in partnership with Quintessentially, the world’s leading luxury concierge company.

The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko has opened this week in Japan, set within a UNESCO World Heritage Site and ushering in a new level of luxury to the destination.

Marriott International has inked a deal to open The Ritz-Carlton, Montenegro and The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Montenegro, marking the brand’s first property in the country.

Each space evokes a vision of Berlin in the 1920s, with guests encountering creative details and thoughtful references to the golden era of German cinema.

Marriott International is expecting to open more than 30 luxury properties in 2019, furthering the company’s global perspective on luxury travel with its ensemble of eight distinct luxury brands. Through the hallmarks of The Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, St. Regis, W, The Luxury Collection, EDITION, JW Marriott and Bulgari, Marriott International continues to push boundaries, creating new guest experiences which meet the needs of the evolving luxury traveller. The company already has hotels and resorts in more than 60 countries and territories and is poised to expand its luxury footprint with more than 200 properties in the development pipeline, representing 20 new countries for the company’s luxury portfolio, from Sri Lanka to Bermuda and Morocco to Kenya.

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has offered a preview of the “forward-thinking suites” which will feature on its maiden ocean cruise ship, Azora, when she enters service in 2020.

The Ritz-Carlton is inviting guests to indulge their culinary senses at its first Stellar Dining Series, where Michelin-starred chefs, mixologists and patissiers will tour four of Asia Pacific’s gourmet cities from 01 November until 01 December 2018. The journey will start at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, then travel through Osaka and Hong Kong to conclude at The Ritz-Carlton, Beijing.

The Star Entertainment Group this week lodged a development application with the NSW Department of Planning for a $500+ million, 220-room hotel tower that will herald the return of the Ritz-Carlton brand to Sydney.
