United Airlines added the newest addition to its network of more than 50 United Club locations around the world with the opening of a new 465-square-metre United Club at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. United Airlines has been operating flights to Australia from the US west coast more than three decades. Last week, the Star Alliance member airline revealed it would begin a new nonstop service between San Francisco and Melbourne, complementing its existing Los Angeles–Melbourne city pairing.

New year-round service to Victorian capital
United Airlines has announced its largest ever international network expansion from its hub at San Francisco International Airport. The airline will introduce non-stop year-round service to Toronto and Melbourne, Australia and seasonal service to New Delhi. United also announced it will begin a second daily flight between San Francisco and Seoul, South Korea.

Premium Economy cabin for select new Boeing 777s and 787s
United Airlines’ new premium seating, United Premium Plus, has gone on sale for travel on select international flights starting 30 March 2019. The new Premium Economy experience will be available on 21 routes by the end of May 2019.

Coast-to-coast capacity increase using larger Dreamliner
United Airlines this week announced enhancements to its transcontinental service in the USA, offering customers more flights and more seats between New York/Newark and Los Angeles and San Francisco. Beginning 7 January, 2019, United will be the first North American airline to operate the Boeing 787-10, the newest aircraft in the Dreamliner family, on select transcontinental flights.
