Viking has marked the launch of its highly-anticipated expeditions as the new purpose-built Viking Octantis started its first Antarctic season last month.

To promote its current expedition offer, which includes a saving of up to $8,000 per couple including flights, Viking gave Australian and New Zealand travel agents the chance to win an expedition pack valued at over AU$1,000.

Viking has unveiled new expedition sailings for the summer 2023 season aboard Viking Octantis and Viking Polaris, including a new two-week itinerary in the United States’ Great Lakes.

Viking has rolled out a new trade incentive to promote its current expedition offer, with savings of up to $8,000 per couple, including flights.

Viking has launched a new feature within its Agent Marketing Centre aimed at helping Australian and New Zealand travel advisors create more engaging and effective social media campaigns, and providing access to Viking’s content library that includes the most popular river and ocean itineraries, ship tours and destination highlights.

Viking has announced a second extension to its temporary global operational pause due to coronavirus pandemic.

In September 2022, Viking will offer a unique 44-day itinerary that sails from Tromsø, Norway in the Arctic Circle through to Whalers Bay, at the opposite end of the earth on the Antarctic Peninsula. The cruise was revealed in the newly rolled-out Viking Expedition Cruises’ brochure, which showcases Antarctica, The Arctic, Great Lakes of North America and the Galapagos Islands – uncovered first by LATTE.

Viking will hold a series of dedicated travel-agent-only Information Sessions showcasing the brand new Viking Expeditions product, designed to provide travel partners with the information and tools they need to sell voyages to the ends of the earth when Viking Octantis and Viking Polaris launch in 2022.
